A Hive Hard Fork happens roughly twice a year. πŸ€” I don't know how changing the number of Top Hive Witnesses would be asked as a proposal. πŸ€―πŸ˜…

I thought that they happened a bit less often than that. I remember HF26. I didn't know that there were others after that. Yes, I suppose that wouldn't work so well.

Maybe there should be two Hive proposals which have a Daily Pay of (practically) zero HBD, where one is in favor of increasing the number of Top Hive Witnesses to 30, while the other is favor of simply retaining the number of Top Hive Witnesses which is 20. πŸ€”πŸ€“

That sounds like a plausible option! There should be an easy and elegant way for the community as a whole to vote on such things. 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

However, Hive users should first agree if using Hive Proposals to vote upon a proposed change (which will be applied on the next Hive Hard Fork) would be acceptable to the community as a whole. πŸ€”πŸ€“

Haha...so we'd need community votes to determine if community votes can be used to steer the direction of the Blockchain. That might be a hair problematic. Chickens and eggs come to mind.

At least, it would likely make community voting easier in the future. πŸ€”πŸ˜†πŸ˜Ž

Haha...indeed, once we get past the community-voting chicken-and-egg situation! 😁 πŸ™ πŸ’š ✨ πŸ€™

It's just like in organizations where every full-fledged member votes for his or her desired board member(s), and board members ultimately vote on something that will affect the entire organization. πŸ€”πŸ€“
