I'm getting lots of notifications from communities in @ecency app chat. Some are from months ago. Is this a known issue?

Update app to latest if available and just like Melinda said, either mark or leave or mute channel, we have changed a logic of unread message count so it works as intended, if you are part of channel you will see messages, muted channels won't show or leaving channel is solution to keep your channels/chats clean and to the point.
I wasn't in some of the communities. I've cleared it for now so will see how it goes. Thanks
Click the 3dot menu and mark as read or leave community to clean up community chats.
I've cleared them for now. I'm not sure I was ever in some of those communities so it's a bit confusing.
