This morning at our home, the atmosphere is especially exciting because it's the day the children have been waiting for: going to school for Christmas activities! Everywhere I look, I see red, green, and laughter. For a mother, there's nothing happier than seeing my little ones wake up bright and ready to have fun with their friends.
🥣 An army marches on its stomach: A simple yet warm breakfast
We started our special morning by gathering at the breakfast table. The atmosphere this morning was wonderful; the weather was pleasantly cool. Our menu today consisted of comforting dishes: smooth, steaming white rice porridge served with crispy, fragrant fried salted fish – a simple yet perfectly balanced flavor.
We also had bite-sized dim sum as side dishes, and, of course, hot coffee and fragrant tea, essential for morning conversation. The aroma of the tea made this Christmas morning feel calm and relaxing. We ate and chatted, interspersed with the cheerful chatter of my daughter as she shared her plans for the day. It was a quality family time that I truly wished I could freeze in time.

The highlight of this morning was getting dressed. This year, my daughter gave me a new challenge: "Mom, I don't want to wear a skirt like last year. I want to look cool this year." Last year, she was a princess in a bright red dress, but this year she wanted a change of look to a more practical yet cute style. So, I quickly researched and ordered an outfit online in advance. I chose bright red pants paired with a clean white shirt, accessorized with carefully selected accessories to match the festive theme. The finished look is amazing and so uniquely her!

The final, essential step, and an activity we do together as a family, is decorating our daughter's face with stickers. My husband and I carefully applied heart-shaped and cute stickers to our daughter's nose and cheeks to add a playful touch and make her look more festive. It's such an adorable display of mischief that it makes mom and dad smile.
Before she headed to school, we made sure to capture this precious moment with numerous photos. Our daughter posed happily with a confident smile. Seeing this makes us parents feel relieved.
