This is a species of oyster mushroom or in scientific language known as "Pleurotus ostreatus" which is a type of mushroom that is very well known in the culinary world, although initially this mushroom only grew wild in tropical and subtropical forests, but now it is widely cultivated by mushroom fans because it has various benefits, both in terms of nutrition, health and promising economic potential, this occurs in line with increasing public awareness of the importance of consuming healthy and environmentally friendly food.

Oyster mushrooms have a unique shape with a wide hat and is shaped like an oyster shell, the color is pure white when the mushroom is young and will turn brownish yellow when the mushroom is old, the mushroom flesh is chewy and the taste is light but tasty, making it a flexible ingredient in various dishes, but did you know that apart from its delicious taste, oyster mushrooms are also known as a food with high nutrition such as fiber, protein, vitamin B and other important minerals.

Meanwhile, in terms of minerals, oyster mushrooms contain potassium, phosphorus, iron and magnesium which are very important in maintaining electrolyte balance in the body, phosphorus plays a role in the formation of strong bones and teeth, while the iron contained in oyster mushrooms also has an important role in forming red blood cells which can help overcome anemia, another content, namely magnesium, plays a role in maintaining muscles and the nervous system, thus oyster mushrooms are the right choice for consumption because they can help overall health.
