Ah, another stroll down memory lane—back when mornings involved more than just rolling out of bed and turning on a laptop. Six years ago, on a bright and early morning, I was commuting to Brussels for another day at the office. But before I got there, I took a little detour through some moments of calm and clarity, captured on my iPhone.
First up, let’s talk about the tranquility of a sunrise. The sun slowly climbing over the horizon, casting golden hues across the landscape, almost made those early alarms worth it. And yes, you can feel the quiet in these shots—it’s the kind of peace you only find at the crack of dawn, right before the world kicks into high gear.
But let’s not get too lost in the countryside daydreams. My commute wasn’t all about serene fields and gentle mists. Oh no, there was also the urban jungle to conquer. That meant navigating through Antwerp Railway Station and Brussels North Railway Station—where the hustle and bustle of the day was just beginning. It’s a stark contrast: the solitude of the sunrise and the intensity of a city that never seems to sleep.
The station in Antwerp, with its futuristic blue lights and sleek design underground, felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie, while Brussels North, with its concrete platforms and steel tracks, was all business, no frills. Each had its own vibe, its own rhythm, and both were part of my daily grind.
So here’s a glimpse of a typical morning from six years ago, where nature met the city, and calm met chaos, all before 9 AM. It’s funny how these little moments become the things we look back on most fondly. Hope you enjoy this throwback as much as I did!
