yeah well, with people of your own generation you share the past habits, events, trending things... so it's easier to catch topics to talk too

That is partly true... I just wrote a reply to another comment about this... Yes, we have more things in common, but as we are getting older, our "interests" are going in opposite directions... and we are losing "common topics"...
But, on the other side, our "way of thinking", or "doing things" is something that changes very slowly (or not changing at all!)
