Why Now?
- So far, I didn't implement any security in MongoDB that we have for Distrion
- In MongoDB, we've not added anything at all yet so I was keeping at it a later stage.
- Now that, we'll start storing critical information, it is the right time to work on data-security.
- In today's post, I'll explain what I've implemented to avoid data-exposure.

What & How?
- First I did some research on my own.
- I checked out stackoverflow & found following link helpful a little bit.

- With that, I at least knew that how to set root level password
- I did set
MONGO_INITDB_ROOT_USERNAMEandMONGO_INITDB_ROOT_PASSWORD
- After that, I watched couple of videos on YouTube.
- I tried to find the right content which matches the requirement.
- Finally, all pieces started coming together.
- I added a javascript file under folder
mongo-entrypoint& named it asentrypoint.js - That javascript basically adds an read-write user to a specific database instead of root-access.
- After everything in place, this is how the docker-compose file looks like.

Updates: Video Encoder Nodes
- I'm running 12 powerful video encoder nodes for 3Speak Community Members.
- Monthly internet bandwidth usage which exceeds 15 TB, Maintenance cost, Electricity backup, Internet backup, Depreciation cost - it's all on me.
- On 2024-06-01, 3Speak published total 114 videos.
- My video encoder nodes encoded 88 videos from 114 videos published.
- It means, my encoder nodes encoded 77.19 % of total videos published on 2024-06-01
