CONTROLLING THOUGHT:

One of the most important verses in the Bible. Commanding the Disciples to spread the good news of the gospel to all creature.

KEY VERSE:

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15 KJV).

TEXT:

Mark 16:14-16; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8 (KJV)

MAIN DISCOURSE:

The gospel according to Mark was written shortly after the death of Jesus Christ. The rest of the Gospels are written with more styles, maybe because they heard the same stories which Mark heard years later. The gospel of John, in particular, is filled with stories of the supernatural that are not found in Mark. The gospel of Mark has no attachment, his writing style and seemingly more accurate depiction of Christ makes it very favorable. One of the most important verses in the Bible and most important in the book of Mark, commanding the Disciples of Christ to spread the good news of the gospel to all creature.

In these verses, Jesus Christ urged His disciples to do these things: 1) go into the world and 2) preach the gospel to every creature. Basing on the book of Acts and most of the books following the gospels, the disciples committed this commandment deeply into their hearts. 3) Everyone that believes will be baptized, and such will be saved, but those who believe not shall be damned. Christ may have meant that anyone that is not literally baptized is damned, but let's say that a more progressive interpretation is more appropriate.

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, may we as christians imbibe the tenets of the gospel and wish everyone should do so, too. The disciples went all out and spread the good news of the Bible to all creature as commanded by our lord and saviour Jesus Christ. If the world have a choice: to believe or not to believe, if they have heard the good news and chose not to believe, they are refusing the baptism of the holy spirit. Just the straight gospel facts as recorded by apostle Mark. May we all come to terms with this and appreciate and obey the commandments of the Lord - Amen.
