Who would had thought those Gaming nights would become a nostalgic memory only?
So, it’s been Nine years. Yes! Nine years since I last logged into this game named ‘Unturned,’ memories still fresh.
Game Introduction
1.It’s a free-to-play + Gold Premium survival game on Steam.
2.More like Roblox (not so realistic graphics).
3.Comprises of both PvE (survival versus zombies) and PvP (survival against zombies and online players).
4.It consists of base buildings, looting, raiding and PvP combat.
How did I get back to it?
I was on YouTube, as I was watching a video. Suddenly, my YouTube stopped working. I went to the history section and boom, accidentally, I clicked on ‘Your Videos’.
To my surprise, I found my 8 years old uploaded videos on YouTube. Playing unturned with 13 FPS. Dah, it was embarrassing with my fake English accent and all. But, hey, I was just 13!
So nostalgia hit and I decided to play my teenage peak entertainment game once again.
After downloading, I went straight to the single player to check how much it had changed? Except for some new maps and guns, there wasn’t any big changes. After killing some zombies, I decided to get into some real PvP.
Great Deception Era
Picture this a 13 years old boy who used to lie about his health, pretending headache or stomach ache, just to play all day. Even there was a time, when I used to hide behind drawing-room curtains. By the time, my parents went to their respective jobs, PC on with survival vibes.
But, one day my father received a phone call from my school and it felt like my last day on this mortal world ⚰. He broke my PC and then, I never played unturned again.
Plus point: I also lied to my Egyptian friend that I have cancer and I will die soon. So, with harmony and humanity, he purchased me the gold version 🤫. Don’t judge me, I was just a kid in a desi household where they won’t even let you play video games.
Cut to 2025
Now I’m older and wiser(ish) at least self-proclaimed. I did play it for an hour or maybe two, but, the obsession had gone long ago.
As a kid, I would had dreamt of being an adult and play it all day long. But, it seems like my preferences has changed. Though, I still play video games, but that passion and obsession I had is gone. Rather than chasing zombies, I’m chasing work deadlines and playing only in free time.
Peace 🕊
