Hi. I have a short food review post here. I visit Banh Mi Boys in Downtown Toronto. This is a place I have been before.
Location Of Banh Mi Boys In Downtown Toronto
Every once in a while I like having a Banh Mi Vietnamese sandwich/baguette. It satisfies my taste buds and does not feel too heavy. Banh Mi Boys is a Toronto based franchise that specializes in Banh Mi sandwiches in a modern casual environment. I think it is a good alternative to larger chains and franchises like McDonalds, Burger King, Five Guys, Shake Shack and Chick-Fil-A.
One of the main locations for Banh Mi Boys is in Downtown Toronto near the Eaton Centre mall at Yonge Street and Dundas Street. Banh Mi Boys is at the corner of the Yonge and Dundas Street intersection. It is on the northeast side of the intersection that is on the same corner of Shake Shack. Besides the Five Guys place you find an entrance on the right side. Upon entry you enter up a set of stairs.
On March 28, 2025 there were also signs of a Cookie shop. I declined buying cookies. One cookie for 5 CAD? No thank you. A very hard sell for me.
Ordering
You could order your food by letting a staff member know what you want. This time around I use their touchscreen machine (photo not taken) to order my grilled chicken Banh Mi Sandwich. (Their Pork Banh Mi is good but I wanted chicken as my meat versus pork.)
The wait time is not too long at around 5PM. It took between 5 to 7 minutes for my sandwich to arrive.
The cost is under 11 CAD after tax. It is kind of difficult to find under 10 CAD meals in downtown Toronto. (High cost of living here.)
Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich
The baguette is roughly around 7 inches or maybe 7.5 inches in length. The Banh Mi has a mix of carrots, cucumber, radish, grilled chicken, mayonaise, cilantro (or is basil?) and sriacha hot sauce. I got sriacha sauce as I chose mild spice. No spice and hot were the other options.
Other Pictures
I took other pictures as well. Pictures of their unexpectedly nice washroom (unisex single room) and their standing eating area.
Rating: 9 out of 10.
The price is kinda high for a sandwich but it is Toronto so the price is what it is.
