Hi there. I have a food post this time around. I try out Karahi Boys in my local area.
There are not many Chinese restaurants in my area. I would have to go to Toronto or Scarborough (east part of Toronto) for that. A good alternative is Pakistani food.
About Karahi Boys Franchise
Karahi Boys is a halal Pakistani restaurant franchise that serves authentic Pakistani cuisune in Canada and the United States.
Their Canadian locations are mostly in the Toronto and surrounding area with a location in Ottawa and Edmonton.
The US locations are in:
- Houston, Texas
- Dallas, Texas
- Sterling, Virginia
Food
I have to say that their menu is interesting and looks nice. Very unique in a good way.

I was out with the family. We ordered 4 items.
- Family Size Naan
- Charsi Chicken Karahi (Half Size)
- Goat Karahi (Half)
- Chicken Dum Biryani Rice Dish

The family size naan (around 10 CAD) is something. I have never seen naan bread presented on a rack.

This naan was relly good. Lightly toasted and still soft on the inside. Well done.
With the chicken biryani rice dish, the taste and texture was okay. A nice surprise with this dish was some crunchiness from what I think was fried onions.

For the Goat Karahi dish, we ordered the spice at medium. The goat pieces were tender, soft and juicy. In terms of spice, it was not too bad. Not much spicier than hot and sour soup nor sriracha chili sauce.

This chicken dish is pretty good. For the spice level, it was at medium but there was almost no spicyness to it. This sauce is pretty addictive. It is a creamy type sauce which makes this dish taste similar to Butter Chicken.

Closing Notes
This meal was really good overall. The dishes are kind of pricey. Family Naan was around 10 CAD, chicken dish at around 22 to 25 CAD, half goat karahi at around 45 CAD and the biryani rice dish at around 22 CAD. Around 100 CAD before tax and tip for 4 people.
My rating is a 9 out of 10. The food and service were really good. For me to give a ten I have to be truly wowed. This place did wow me at some points. Maybe I could give a 9.5. Pricing is kind of high and you did have to wait 30 minutes for the food. (The server did mention this after ordering.)
