Lunch At Lalapan Pojok Raya With Wide Selection Of Dishes

Hi bloggers, everyone. How are you? I hope you are all doing well. Yesterday, I had lunch at a restaurant that offers a wide selection of Indonesian dishes. They offer free refills of lalapan, bananas, and sambal.

From chicken, shrimp, squid, fish, to ribs, they have dishes made from these proteins. They also have several satay options, including chicken skin satay, quail egg satay, chicken satay, chicken feet satay, jengkol satay, and more. You can choose the satay you want by taking it onto your plate, and it will be cooked fresh by the chef in the open kitchen.

Here's their menu.

The system is to choose the menu and select how you want it cooked (grilled, fried, sweet and sour), pay at the cashier, be given a table number, and choose your own table.

There are indoor and outdoor seating areas with a lesehan (sitting on the floor) theme. The atmosphere is very beautiful, and the place has a typical Javanese/Sundanese feel.

The menu we chose this time was ayam oseng mercon (spicy sambal chicken), chicken skin satay, grilled chicken, grilled eggplant, fried tempeh, and several vegetable side dishes such as cabbage, cucumber, and some bananas. They also offer a choice of rice (white rice, still liwet, urap rice, grilled chicken rice). I chose white rice, and my friend chose liwet rice (rice cooked with coconut milk and aromatic spices).

This warm white rice with spicy and savory stir-fried chicken tastes delicious and satisfying, and eating it with crunchy fresh vegetables adds to the dining experience.

The grilled eggplant is equally delicious, with the marinade seeping into the eggplant to make this dish fragrant. Their chili sauce is also spicy and savory, which suits my taste buds perfectly.
