Today’s story is about BEEF SMASH yes, the same Beef Smash that has been stuck in my head for the last couple of months. I was trying every possible way to get its Shroomer burger and I was literally dying to try it. Now you may ask, why so desperate? Just go and eat it. Well, it’s not that simple. First thing is, I don’t go out to eat alone. It’s just not my habit, I always need some company at a restaurant. Second thing, I am stingy, and I was never going to spend my own money on such an expensive burger.

So, I started telling my friends circle about it, saying “Lets go for Beef Smash,” but everyone was too busy and no plan was made. Here I should also mention that my desperation was because I had to start my keto diet from 18th Aug, and I wanted to eat the Shroomer before that. Otherwise, I would stay upset during the diet. Thats a separate story for another post, for now, our focus is Beef Smash.

Finally, 16th Aug was the big day. I invited my friends to my house. These friends are not just friends, I also have to do some company work with them in the future but thats another story too. Anyway, all four came over and we started our meeting, where we discussed different things about the company. Almost 3 hours passed, and the meeting went well. At the end I said, “Lets go to Beef Smash.” At first, everyone refused and tried to avoid it, but I insisted. For me, it was today or never because once keto started, there was no chance.

At last, they agreed and we went to Beef Smash. When we reached, I found out that everyone’s stomachs were already full. Nobody wanted to eat, only me. That felt strange, but I didn’t care, at least my craving was about to be fulfilled.

The service there was very poor. It was written “self-service,” but on our table there were still baskets and leftovers from the previous customers. No one came to clean for a long time. So I went to the counter and asked, “Do we have to clean this ourselves too?” He said, “I’m coming,” but after a long time he came, cleaned, and then disappeared. He was busy serving other people. Maybe I misunderstood what he said, I thought he said “I am coming to take your order,” but actually he meant “place the order at the counter.” It was confusing.

Since my friends didn’t want food, they saw Ludo there, picked it up, and started playing at the table to pass the time. Meanwhile, I told one of my friends to go to the counter and place an order for 2 Shroomers. He ordered, we finished our Ludo game, but still no food. It took way too long. This kind of service is unacceptable. By then, my mood was already spoiled.

Finally, the Shroomer arrived. If you look at their menu card, you will see how expensive their burgers are. For this kind of price, the food should be unique and different, that was my expectation, especially after seeing their Facebook promotions again and again in my feed. But the moment I took the first bite, all my expectations collapsed. The taste was nothing special, and the patty had a strange smell, like raw fat. It was not at all enjoyable.

Since I had recommended it, I told my friends, “It’s okay, just eat,” but no one finished the second Shroomer, and in the end, I had to eat it myself.

The thing I had such a craze for, turned out useless. My heart broke, I had really wished for this Shroomer, but it turned out to be “bewafa” (unfaithful) hahaha. Well, that happens sometimes. Maybe I had too many expectations. My friends started teasing me, saying, “This is what you were crazy about? Don’t recommend anything to us again.” Honestly, I myself was shocked at how bad it was.

Later I shared this experience with other friends who had been to Beef Smash many times, and they were shocked too. They had gone there 4–5 times and really enjoyed their burgers, saying they were unique and different. But in my case, my experience was totally useless. The point is, quality and taste should always be consistent, thats what we pay for. Otherwise, you can get a normal burger for 300 rupees, so whats the point of paying 1000 here?

I was really disappointed with Beef Smash. Now whenever I see it on Facebook, only curses come out from my heart. Truly, first impression is the last impression. Not recommended at all.
