Amazing Yield Cassava Harvesting

in HiveGarden21 hours ago (edited)

Seven months ago, I planted cassava in a small space beside the drainage. Today, I'm harvesting with an amazing yield. Despite the limited area, the results are beyond expectations. It’s proof that even small spaces can grow big rewards.

Each cassava tree usually yields three kilos, and my tree produced more. I planted only a few trees due to the limited space, yet I’m still grateful for the harvest I received.

Planting cassava is simple—you just need to stick a 10 cm piece of the stem into the soil and let it grow. As long as the soil is fertile and the plant gets sunlight, it will develop broad, healthy leaves.

Then I turn the cassava into various dishes. My favorite is cassava chips because they’re crunchy and delicious. Sliced thin, fried until golden, and lightly salted—they make the perfect snack. It’s satisfying to enjoy food made from my own harvest.

Cassava is normally harvested after 6 to 8 months, but if you improve soil fertility, the harvest time can be shorter. Good soil helps the plant grow faster and produce better yields.

Planting cassava is a rewarding experience, especially when you see the results of your effort during harvest. However, cassava is a tropical plant that requires warm temperatures and long hours of sunlight to grow well. It might not thrive in cooler or less sunny regions. I’m sharing this as a small piece of knowledge for anyone who doesn’t yet understand cassava. Hopefully, it inspires curiosity and appreciation. Thank you!
