Many businesses today are excelling not because they're very good at what they produce or the services they render but because they're good at the way they package and announce their business.
Packaging here means using good advertising methods such as renovating the workplace, advertising the business on social media with quality graphics, getting ambassadors, and so on.
There's a hair salon close to my residence, which is a perfect example of packaging. The salon is never scanty of customers because people find the place enchanting. This is the same place where people also complain of poor service, but even in the midst of that, people keep coming. Yeah, when the attractiveness is too much, many mistakes are overlooked and people don't even take such into considerations.
The salon has a big signboard with lighting, which gives a good display at night. The environment is as sparkling as heaven, and they often do giveaways and bonanzas. With such, the place is always magnetic to people, even with their high charges.
Moreover, there may be someone in the same area who does the job better, but because this person operates in a closet with no attention drawers, people don't get to patronize them.
Packaging in any business will sell the brand more without even considering the quality of goods or services.
It's good that people are beginning to see the importance of packaging in entrepreneurship. This is why most ladies who are into clothing businesses online do everything by all means to get a good camera to take pictures of their products and post them online. Come on, you can't go for a blurry photo of a product and leave the one with good effects. The eyes lead the brain and mind most times; someone goes for what is attractive rather than what looks tattered.
Although it's not completely necessary to take hefty loans to beautify a business and run into big debts, one could still do things within a good capacity and make the business catchy. Most times, it's just a little effort that's needed to boost up a business.
I haven't really been involved in a business, but I had a friend who was into footwear sales. He owned a shop and would come online to post samples of the footwear for people to see. There was nothing like a watermark on the photos, nor were there any graphics to back up those photos. I told him to get a flyer to support those photos because it would help him attract people more customers easily. He didn't argue and paid a graphic designer to create two samples for him. When he started using them, people he didn't know, I mean people not in his contacts, began to message him. Though it sounds like magic, that's how it works. When there's good advertising, it reaches a larger audience and brings more potential customers.
So, incase you're reading this and having your business in a low-key, come out from the hidden spot, announce your business to the world and watch out for the magic.
Thanks!
