Hello everyone!!
Have a great and blissful day/night to you all!!! 🙂💖
Let's have some Coca-Cola chicken wings today. Actually, I cooked this dish last Monday but just haven't posted it here right then.
Any soda, beer or wine can be good options to marinate chicken, pork and any other meat. It can help tenderize the meat and enhance the flavor. The Coca-Cola thick sauce tenderizes the meat, which makes it mouthwateringly moist and juicy.
Chicken is also best paired with potato fries or even mashed potatoes.
So, without further ado, let's look at how it was prepared and cooked.
A Savory Coca-Cola Chicken Wings and Air-Fried Potatoes
INGREDIENTS:
- Chicken Wings
- Coca-Cola
- Soy Sauce
- Chicken Cube
- Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- Ground Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
- Lemon Juice
- Onion
- Garlic
- Ketchup
- Salt
- Canola Oil
- Potatoes
PREPARATION:
NOTE: (I couldn't take photos for the preparation process because I got busy)
Wash the chicken wings thoroughly. Cut in half and then marinate them with Coca-Cola, soy sauce, lemon juice, ground black pepper, garlic powder and paprika (which I don't have some this time, but still it's okay without paprika). Set aside for 20 to 30 minutes.
Peel and wash the onion, then cut it into small pieces.
Crush and peel garlic, and then cut into small pieces. Then set aside.
While waiting for the chicken to absorb the marinade, let's prepare the potatoes.

Wash and then peel the potatoes. Then cut them into bigger strips. Wash again and then strain and drain. After draining, transfer the sliced potatoes to a bowl, then season with just a pinch of salt and garlic powder and then set aside.
After 30 minutes of marinating the chicken wings, let's now proceed with cooking them.
COOKING TIME:

Heat some canola oil in a pan or cooker and then sauté onions and garlic until fragrant. Then add the marinated chicken wings and sauté them with the aromatics until golden brown.

Then, add the marinated sauce and bring it to a boil until the sauce reduces. Then add the chicken cube, stir and mix until it dissolves. Then add some ketchup, mix it well and continue cooking until the sauce thickens.

And there it is...beautifully cooked in a darker, thicker Coca-Cola sauce.
We'll set aside this for a while, and we'll cook the potato in the air fryer.

Turn on the air fryer, preheat to 180 degrees Celsius for 3 minutes. After preheating, put the sliced potatoes and cook them at 180 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are well-cooked and a bit crispy.

And... we're finished cooking. Let's prepare and serve while they're still hot. It's also good with warm rice.
Let's enjoy the food now!! 🥰
