Warm greetings to all fellow Hivers!!
Today, I was out of some ingredients to cook, but I still managed to make a good meal for the family. I am just trying to make an experimental omelet through the air fryer. At first, I wasn't thinking of posting it because I was lacking some ingredients, but because I used to take pictures of the dishes I cooked and see that they were still presentable. Honestly, even though it's lacking some spices, it still tastes good and yummy.
So here it is...
Air Fried Egg Chorizo Omelet
INGREDIENTS
- Chorizo
- Eggs
- Salt
- Ground Black Pepper
I paired it with Yakisoba. It's a kind of Japanese noodle that I love to eat too. It’s an instant one.
PREPARATION:
Wash the chorizo thoroughly. Beat some eggs. I had 5pcs of large chorizo so I also beat 5 eggs. Then set aside. I already prepared and set aside the pack of yakisoba noodles too.
COOKING TIME:
Cook the chorizo in boiling water. After it's fully cooked, remove and transfer them to a clean plate.
Let it cool down then after cooling down, mash the chorizo and discard the skin.
Then mix the chorizo with the beaten eggs. Add just a pinch of salt and ground black pepper. Mix them thoroughly and then transfer the mixture to the silicon molder.
Then load the mixture to the air fryer and set it to 180 degrees for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, this is the result.
I added another 5 minutes after flipping it to the opposite side. I'm glad it was fully cooked because it made it easier to flip. So, after another 5 minutes, this was how it beautifully appeared.
When we ate it, it was delish maybe because the chorizo from our “suki” (store or person we usually buy it from) already has a tasteful flavor. That's why we always buy from that shop because the meat they use is obviously fresh and has less fat in it.
As for the yakisoba, just boil 2 1/2 cups of water for the two packs of yakisoba noodles. When it starts to boil, add the yakisoba noodles and the enclosed seasoning in the pack. They were dried veggies, sauce with a little oil, and some powdered seasoning. Mix them well until fully cooked.
We enjoyed these simple dishes for our lunch today.
I also prepared some boiled banana plantain/saba for our afternoon snacks later.
I hope with these very simple dishes, I can still share or impart my knowledge by utilizing whatever ingredients we have at home.
That would be all for today and see you on my next post. God bless us all🙏❣
