Hello everyone...
I just joined this wonderful platform two weeks ago when my daughter @tegoshei encouraged me to join.
And for the second time, she encouraged me again to do something here and that is to join the ASEAN Hive Community Challenge this week.
When I saw the topic "NOODLE NIRVANA", I got interested because I also cook pasta dishes most of the time because any kinds of pasta dishes are my daughter's favorite.
I always use pasta like spaghetti pasta and fettuccine. For noodles, we also cook it sometimes at home but not too often too because instant noodles are not a healthy food.
So this time, I felt interested and got challenged to try to elevate or upgrade the simple instant noodles into a more delicious and healthier one.
This is my first time experimenting with instant noodles to this kind of recipe at home. And I hope my family will like it especially my daughter. Now, I am sharing how I made spicy, cheesy and creamy instant noodles with tuna and egg and paired with toasted wheat bread.
Let's start cooking!
INGREDIENTS:
- 4 pcks Lucky Me Pancit Canton Noodles
- 2 sachet of Lucky Me Liquid Seasoning
- 2 sachet of Lucky Me Powder Seasoning
- 1 tetra pack Nestle Cream
- 1 big can Evaporated Milk (Angel)
- 1 sml can Century Tuna "Hot n Spicy"
- 1 sml can Century Tuna "Flakes n Oil"
- 1 box Eden Cheese
- 3 pcs Hard Boiled Eggs
- 1pc Carrot
- 1pc Onion
- Parsley
- Canola Oil
- Water
PROCEDURE:
Boil the eggs then soak it with cold water when it's already cooked.
Cook the noodles into boiling water but just cook it partially.
Then strain and set aside.
Wash carrot, onion and parsley.
Cut or slice carrot and onion into tiny cubes. And cut parsley into tiny pieces. Then set aside in an individual container.
Grate the cheese, open the cans of century tuna and then strain. Then slice the hard boiled egg.
COOKING TIME:
Heat a small amount of canola oil on a pan, then saute onion. When it starts to caramelize put the carrots and saute for a minute only then add the century tuna.
Stir them for a a few minutes. Then add the evaporated milk and nestle cream.
Stir occasionaly to avoid the sauce to stick on the pan.
Then add the "Lucky Me Pancit Canton" liquid and powder seasoning. (Just use two of each even if you opened 4 packs of instant pancit canton.) Then continue stirring.
In a little while, add some grated cheese and continue stirring until the sauce thickens. Then put the parstey and the noodles.
Slowly and carefully stir the noodles.
That's it for our upgraded or experimented instant pancit canton. Just transfer
it to a bigger bowl, top some parsley, cheese and eggs and pair it with toasted wheat bread.
My first upgraded pancit canton was a success! My family really enjoyed it especially my daughter who loves pasta or noodle dishes.
I hope you enjoy this recipe and try it at home too. The regular instant pancit canton becomes more delicious and healthy.
Thanks for reading!
Until next recipe... and maybe challenge.
