We thought about building some kind of ramp so Jovi can sleep in our bed with us again like she used to when she could jump up there. The problem is she has so much trouble controlling her body these days I wouldn't want to wake up with a steaming hot dookie in my bed! I share the same hope as you that they don't understand time like we do.
dogs getting old is such a horrible situation. I don't mean to be morbid but this is something I realize is going to be a part of my life as Nadi gets older as well that there is going to come a horrible day that that terrible choice is going to have to be made.
I read a cartoon that said "having a dog will bring you many of the greatest days of your life...... and one of the worst." It makes my eyes well up just thinking about that.
Yeah, that's pretty rough. The hope is that they pass peacefully, but we know there is not a lot of chance of that. We are going to have to make that hard call. Everytime Jo has a bad day with her legs I feel we are one step closer. Then the next day she does well and I forget until the next time.
