Hello Asean Hive Community
I am recovering well from my autoimmune issue. I can use my fingers better than yesterday. Now I can write although not smoothly, but atleast rheumatoid symptom has greatly reduced and psoriatic has recovered today.
Today I won't write long, because I think I should take more rest not to get back on full throttle mode. So let me share another of my rant lol, but do not worry this is a soft mode one.
I have started to meet some new girls from some dating apps. I think that is the best way I could do regarding in the last 5 years I haven't done anything other than working 110 hours a week and having zero effort to socialize with others. Life was so hard and harsh, so I had to do everything I could to to survive and feed my whole family.
Last month, I met a new girl and I saw her as someone that was OK. I did not have high expectation because I did not have fancy cars nor nice job which paid me above 10.000 USD per month, so there was zero chance I could hook up with a super pretty one.
We decided to take a lunch on a well known restaurant that known for it's Makanan Peranakan. It was not a fine dining one but the restaurant was quite fancy. Of course the price was not cheap, I paid around $20 for both of us.
Ok the problem was that I did not like makanan peranakan. Makanan means food, and Peranakan means descendants, so Makanan peranakan should stand for a mix or blend of Chinese food with local food. Local here can be Indonesian, Malaysian or Singaporean. In general we can say Makanan Peranakan is a mix of Chinese and Malay food.
However people here often forget about that so the Makanan Peranakan people sell here are mostlikely Malay food, and I do not fond of Malay food. It is not like I dislike them, but the taste is not fit my preference.
I ordered Nasi Lemak. You can see the pictures above. Nasi Lemak is Malay food, not makanan peranakan, but they claim as makanan peranakan there. Well, I didn't care, I ordered it because I could eat that and luckily the taste was great. She ordered a black pepper seafood noodle, and I could not figure out how come black pepper noodle became Makanan peranakan.
Well again, the best part was the food turned out excellent. Of course it had to be great, I paid those for $20 !
I had this funny drink, I forgot what it's name. It tasted weird, and if you ask me, I won't order it anymore. I bought it because it was on promotion with 60% price cut. I thought it was a good deal, but it turned out to be the let down for the day.
Anyway that became the last time I met her. Somehow she keeps avoiding me for the next meet up, so I decide to let her go and wish her luck for her next meet up with somebody else.
Oh ya if you see I did not take many pictures here, because I was trying to be nice and polite to the girl. I believed it was rude to take many shots in the first meet up, as if I treated the food as something more important than the person in front of me.
Thank you for stopping by, have a good day and God Bless You all.
Thank you for coming and reading my post. I live in Jakarta, Ex-Capital City of Indonesia. I used to live by making money online, that's why I like being here, on HIVE, and in #PIMP - (Paper In My Pocket) community.
