Last month I visited a famous Vietnamese Food Outlet, or should I say it was a Vietnamese Restaurant. I believed this chained restaurant just recently opened last year and It went viral or trending in social media.
The restaurant name was Mi Mie Dang. I thought it was a Korean restaurant because it used some Korean Hangul letters, but later I realized their menu was all about Vietnamese cuisine.
The place was packed with visitor. This was one of their branch in an old shopping center on West Jakarta. The shopping center could be said in half dead condition, so this was one of the most packed outlet in that place. Seeing these many visitors was the main reason why I dared myself to try this one.
Their menu was very simple, only that one above. Pho Bo, Buncha, or Fried Rice. That's all, no other menu. I bet some of my fellow Hivers in Jakarta like this kind of food, I do not need to tag them here lol.
Later on, I realized that their menu are not the same from branch to branch. They have Halal outlet which does not use Pork and Lard, they have express outlet which is the outlet I have visited here. I wonder how they real full service outlet will be, maybe I will visit it later.
I was very surprised when I had their free flow tea. I thought it would be lame, because it was free a flow one. It turned out to be great, I rarely found a restaurant which was not a fancy one, had a great tea.
Or Maybe their tea was not that great but it fitted on my taste... who knows?
I did not come here alone, I was with someone I just met from some dating app. So I could not be too stingy here, and I ordered an appetizer, which costed me around 3.3 USD. Damn that hurted my pride as a stingy frugal person, ordering non essential food lol.
Here was the appetizer, a fresh spring roll. I liked the deep fried one more, but I ordered the fresh one because it was healthier. We had terrible weeks full or heavy rains in that time, so we needed to eat healthy food.
Ok my main dish came, the Pho Bo. Pho Bo is a noodle soup, which the noodle made from the rice powder and the soup is full of beef broth. So yeah, just call it a traditional Vietnamese Beef Noodle Soup. This one was garnished with herbs, lime, and bean sprouts.
These were the garnishes. They came in separation, so you were free to mix them as you will.

And this was the last presentation, after I mixed in more garnishes. Some people loved to put in many bean sprout, but I came here to have a good beef broth soup, so I did not mix a lot of them.
Overall the taste was ok. It was not great, but ok. Only their tea was great. As I have said above, I might visit their other outlet one day, I want to know whether the taste in the other outlet is better or not, because the reviews are varied from each places.
