Hello, hivers. I'm here with another blog post about my recent trip to Siargao. So, since Siargao has stunning beaches and islands, our trip would not be complete without an island tour.
I booked the Island tour through Klook for roughly 1,500 PHP (26.91 USD). I booked the tour three days before our departure date.
The booking from Klook stated that I would receive a text message or phone call 24 hours before the tour, however there was a mix-up and I did not receive either. I panicked because I hadn't got any messages, so I messaged them personally. Unfortunately, the number they chose to message me was incorrect; this was somewhat my fault because I did not specify which one they should call or text. The pick-up time was 7:30 a.m., so I needed to get up early to prepare our food or breakfast. I awoke about 4:15 a.m. and began preparing, and at exactly 6:30 a.m., I received a call from the guy who would pick us up from our hotel and drive us to the meeting place.
We paid an additional 100 PHP (1.79 USD) for the environmental fee and waited at least 20 minutes for the rest to arrive. The tour group consists of 20 people, the most of them are locals or Filipinos. The tour guide briefed us on the locations we would visit as well as two additional locations where we would spend a few minutes before wrapping up our island hopping.
Our first stop is Guyam Island, where we were informed we could stay for an hour to swim and take photos. We made sure to take a group photo first, then spread out to take photos in various areas. We extended another 15 minutes, and the next stop was the Secret Island. We stayed in the center of the ocean and had the option of swimming or snorkeling for 30 minutes. The next location was the Naked Island, which had no trees and was surrounded by water and rocks.
We stayed for 40 minutes, which wasn't long given how hot it was and there were no trees. People were flying drones to capture nice videos, and after 40 minutes, we went to the fish sanctuary and stayed for 30 minutes before heading to our final island destination, Daku Island. We took some wonderful shots, and because I wasn't in the mood to swim, I stayed on the boat with some of the other people on the tour.
Finally, we headed to Daku Island, where we would eat lunch. I was quite exhausted that day, and given that I got up early, I'm still recovering from our flight. The boat was obviously docked far away from our cottage, which was disappointing, and I was exhausted. We arrived about 11:50 a.m., and the food was served around 12:00 NN. According to our tour guide, we should leave around 2 p.m. to allow adequate time to recuperate after lunch.
We liked the food, which was really good, and I enjoy seafood as always. We also had time to interact with the rest of the people, which was really nice yet exhausting. lol
I can't wait to call it a day, and I really miss my bed. Overall, the island hopping was very enjoyable, and I highly recommend it if you visit Siargao in the future.
