RE: Unplanned bath day followed by some mealtime out for Nadi

beans at breakfast would probably be ok but these beans are, and I can taste it, really cheap ones and taste like you are eating nothing. My Brit friends say that unless they get Heinz, they don't like them.

Sort:

I know they love their Heinz beans in the UK. I have always been more of a Bush's guy myself. I wonder what they think of that brand? Probably too sweet or something like that.

Maybe they don't have access to it. I'll ask one of them the next time I see one. Not everything that USA loves makes it across the pond. One thing that you should definitely do if you are ever around someone from the UK is talk about how much you love A-1 steak sauce. Whether this is true for you or not is irrelevant but I have discovered that people from the UK have a borderline insane dedication to HP Sauce and take offense when anyone suggests that anything else even exists.

I've always been more a fan of Heinz 57 than A-1, but I do like A-1. I was always taught if you cook the steak right you don't need sauce, but I have a buddy that buys A-1 by the pallet pretty much!

I love 57 bro! It is completely unavailable here in Asia though so I had a bottle sent over from the States. It is in my fridge right now. But A-1 and 57 are not similar at all. The reason why I say to pick on UK people about A-1 is because HP and A-1 are essentially the same product but they get abnormally insulted if anyone suggests that this is the case.

I haven't had it in a while, but I always get a bit excited and put it on everything when we do have it. I guess we take for granted that it is so readily available here!
