The other day, my aunt announced in our group chat that my uncle had already received his permanent residency in Australia. This means he’s no longer just working and staying there on a visa. It was a big achievement for him because he had been waiting for a long time. Based on what I heard, he had to take an examination to finally become a permanent resident, and he passed it. We all felt proud because it took a long time before reaching that milestone. To commemorate this achievement, he treated us to dinner. I also spent the day going to the market to complete my monthly tasks.
Going to the Market

After my aunt announced the dinner in the group chat, I joined my mom to visit the market to accomplish some errands. You know, gas is quite expensive nowadays, so we try to visit the market less often.
First, I used the chance to cash in on GoTyme through Robinson Easymart to pay our water and electricity bills. I only cash in there to save on transaction fees compared to other stores that charge higher fees. Then, I walked to the office of Munoz Cable to pay our internet bill. I also used the time to get a haircut at the barber shop. I really liked their service, although it cost 100 PHP. I also treated myself by buying a Large Coffee Float, even though I felt like I didn’t deserve it. After finishing our errands, we waited a few hours at the market before we picked up my sibling from school.
Foods

After my mom picked up my sibling from school, we went to my grandmother’s house again. Since we were the first visitors, I helped them bring out monoblock chairs and arrange the tables. For the food, my uncle sponsored four Chooks-to-Go and also gave money to cook sopas. In addition, my aunt cooked baduya and palitaw, while my mom prepared kutsinta. It was a simple meal, but we enjoyed eating together while celebrating the good news.
Memories

As usual, my aunt took multiple memories and send it to our group chat. Taking photos has always been part of our family gatherings, though. My aunt loves capturing moments so we can look back on them in the future. She also asked us to record a video greeting for my uncle to celebrate that milestone. Even though he was far away in Australia, we made sure he still felt included in the celebration.
Anyway, I ended up doing not-so-productive tasks that day since I failed to work on my laptop tasks, haha.
