Happy Tuesday Hivers!
Yesterday, my younger brother went to the grocery store to buy some basic necessities. Sometimes he does the grocery shopping when my mom or I are not available, or simply when he feels like doing it.
When he arrived home, he told Mom that he was craving pork giniling with string beans, so he bought the ingredients. I didn’t cook it yesterday since we still had enough food for dinner, so we agreed to have it today instead.

I don’t find it difficult to cook this dish because it’s very easy to prepare. At home, whenever we cook pork giniling, we usually don’t use cooking oil. We simply place the ground pork directly into the pan without adding oil, since the pork naturally releases its own fat as it cooks. If you still add cooking oil, it becomes too oily.

Once the pork releases its oil, I add the garlic and onions. I sauté them briefly, then add the string beans.

I seasoned it with a little salt and soy sauce, then added a small amount of water and let it simmer for a few minutes. After that, the pork giniling with string beans was ready to serve.

That’s how simple it is to cook, it’s one of my younger brother’s favorite dishes. As for me, I’m fine with the ground pork, but not the string beans because I don’t eat them. It’s not because of the taste, I just don’t like the sound and texture when I chew them. Even when I was a child, I never ate string beans. I’m actually someone who loves vegetables, except for eggplant and string beans. And that’s how I cook pork giniling with string beans.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
