Happy Friday Hivers!
Christmas is a time of giving and sharing our blessings. Although giving is not limited to the Christmas season, we can share our blessings at any time of the year. However, during Christmas, we ourselves receive blessings, which is why we also choose to share what we have with others.
Since before, our family has been actively involved in outreach programs, which we personally organize using our own funds. We have always practiced sharing our blessings with others whenever we receive them.

This year was different because my sister is actively involved in an organization. During their Christmas party, they held a raffle, and my sister was one of the recipients of the raffle proceeds. She chose to share what she received with our relatives and with elderly individuals who have no children to support them.

My mother suggested that there is an elderly person in the village who has difficulty walking and whose children do not have a stable livelihood. She asked us if we could visit and give this person a Noche Buena package.

Of course, we all agreed. So when we delivered the Noche Buena package, we went to their place. Since my cousin knows the area well, he went with me while my mother did not join us because her knees couldn’t handle the walk.

Her house is located at the top of a hill, so the climb was quite tiring when we arrived. When we got there, we saw the elderly person sitting down. She did not react to our arrival because, as it turned out, she could no longer see.

She asked who we were, and we explained our purpose. We gave her the Noche Buena package, and she simply said, “Thank you.” Seeing her happy made us feel very joyful.
There is truly something special about giving, even a simple smile from her face already made us happy. The joy we feel from that moment is unforgettable.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
