Happy Saturday Hivers!
I often mentioned here that our place in Leyte feels like a little paradise. The moment you step out of the house, you are immediately greeted by the seashore. When the weather is beautiful, you can’t help but be in awe of the view, no matter how often you see it, even if it’s already part of your everyday life.

Yesterday, the weather was absolutely beautiful. Since my siblings had arrived from Cebu, we all agreed to spend time at the beach late in the afternoon. Each of us did different activities, one went paddleboarding, another relaxed on a swing, while my sister and I took a leisurely walk barefoot.

Every time I go to the beach, I always walk barefoot. I really prefer walking without slippers because it feels like my feet are being reflexed, and afterward, they feel completely relaxed.

My sister also enjoyed walking around and felt relaxed doing so. I invited her to go to the diving board, and she immediately said yes. There’s a diving board near our place, not extremely close, as it still requires a few minutes of walking but it’s visible from our house.

As we walked toward the diving board, I truly enjoyed taking pictures of the surroundings. I spotted a starfish. It reminded me of when I was younger, whenever we went to the beach, we used to collect many starfish and gather them in one place. But my mom would get upset if we placed them on the shore, saying they would die if taken out of the sea, so we immediately return them to the water.

When we were about to reach the diving board, we saw that it was already crowded, so we decided not to continue because it was too noisy and chaotic. The space there is quite small, and when there are many people, it’s hard to really enjoy the moment. Instead, we spent our time walking around and enjoying the scenery. Even just taking a walk, you can truly enjoy the view.

This is exactly what I love about Leyte, it feels like we have our own little paradise. If you want to watch the sunset, you just step out of the house and there you can witness a sunset. If you feel like walking along the beach, you can do it immediately without spending a cent on transportation. This is why I love staying in Leyte.

Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
