Brunei is a peaceful country on the island of Borneo and I recently visited Brunei. I go there occasionally and I was at a Dim sum restaurant. There are not many dim sum restaurants in Brunei.
YAM CHA dim sum restaurant
Located on the second floor somewhere in the heart of Brunei Darussalam.
This restaurant specializes in delicious Chinese cuisines as well as many different types of dim sum.
Afternoon lunch. It was lunch time and I was pretty hungry.
My wife wearing a Chinese styled dress with oriental art work on it.
The interior and decor is amazing. Nice lantern lights matching the theme of the restaurant. The red and golden wallpaper is beautiful to look at. In the middle of the ceiling is a huge chandelier.
Everyone enjoying their share of dim sum.
The Yam Cha menu.
Lots of dim sum to choose from.
Chicken soup rice vermicelli noodles. This is one of the best dishes to have when you want something warm in your belly.
There is some wine in this dish that adds on this extra layer of taste.
These were the dim sum dishes that we ordered.
So what are those dark coloured buns? Those are delicious chewy buns filled with salted egg semi liquid filling. The best types are those that when you bite into one, the delicious filling flows out into your mouth.
Some other dim sum.
A bowl of kolok mee
A delicious bowl of noodles. Super duper yummy. These noodles are simmered quickly to let the noodles cook. Then placed into a bowl with fried garlic, slices of spring onions.
This was one of the ones that survived. The others have already gone to the abyss of the dark (in my stomach).
Have you eaten your breakfast? It's a beautiful Sunday. Thank you very much for reading this post. Have a great day.
