Welcome Restaurant Miri City - Dim Sum heaven

If you love eating dim sum, this is one of the places to visit here in Miri. One of the most exciting things that most of the Mirians here do is to head to new places and find food. Today, I am going to bring you to a dim sum restaurant here called

WELCOME RESTAURANT

This restaurant's main theme is the green colour walls. This is quite a popular place for everyone to come here to try out their dim sum and other local Malaysian food.

The rstaurant is quite spacious. The place is also immaculate which is amazing.

Located right in the city centre of Miri, this is one of those restaurants that tourists can come to eat. They also have another branch in another state of Sarawak. This place has the Hong Kong vibes. You do not need to travel far to have a bit of that Hong Kong vibe here in Miri.

Let's do some ordering. Here, my wife is ordering some dim sum and food.

A lot of the food here on the menu are inspired by Hong Kong style menu design as well as food.

Our dim sum in bamboo containers has arrived.

Just like the Japanese cuisine, the Chinese cuisine itself also has it's own way of presenting delicious edible works of art. Here above in the picture are some of the most delicious dim sums. The Som mai. The staple of all dim sum restaurants here in Miri. To know if a place serves good dim sum, try that particular dish. If that dish is good, then the dim sum is definitely amazing.

A nice cup of coffee to cool down after a hot afternoon outside.

A plate of wa tan hoe

A popular Malaysian-Chinese dish featuring flat rice noodles (hor fun) drenched in a rich, silky egg gravy. This dish is best eaten hot.

This is a dish that is mostly only found in Malaysia so it is worth the try.

Last but not least is a bowl of delicious dessert

A gold spoon. I hope that I can steal it and bring it home.

This dessert is mouthwatering good. There are many chewy glutinous rice balls made with different flavours like sweet potatoes and many more.
