Hi ASEAN Hive community. Today, I would like to join the week's challenge #183 "Photography: Picture Purple."
But before diving into my entry, I want to share a few interesting fun facts about the featured color, purple.
In ancient times, purple was more expensive than gold. Only kings, queens, emperors, and even high priests wore it, because they were the ones who could afford it, as it was crafted from thousands of rare sea snails.
Also, purple is the rarest color in nature. If you find purple and look for it, there are very few naturally purple animals or plants, making it feel mysterious.
So today, join me as I get out and find that rarest color, purple...

It was a sunny afternoon when my son, Ryzen, and I stepped outside. Our mission is to search for purple. 😆
We walked past the houses, the sari-sari store, but there was nothing purple.
No purple blooms, leaves, or even a hint of violet on the smallest weed.
But as we kept walking, there was a new small food stall on our neighbor themed in purple.
Almost everything is painted or accented in different shades of purple.
From the counter, posts, containers, and even walls, it has a purple theme.
They are also displaying different kinds of street food on sticks, like isaw and kwek-kwek.
And they offer a list of smoothies, like mango shake, avocado, melon, strawberry, taro, milk tea, or even halo-halo.
Since we were already there, I ordered one Oreo milkshake and one Black Forest shake.
I'm expecting purple food and a purple drink, but there isn't.
Also, I ordered siomai as I love it, and I wasn't leaving without ordering some of it. 😋
While waiting, Ryzen and I settled on the picnic chair.
He's so happy looking around the whole place.
A few minutes later, our orders arrived.
The Oreo milkshake tastes a little bit of caramel, and it was generously crushed with cookies which is perfect.
And when paired with siomai? A well-balanced sweetness and savory.
We enjoyed every sip and made our day a little sweeter.
So that's it, my purple entry for today.
Not a purple food.
Not purple drinks.
But a cute and cozy purple store. 😍
