After the first event is over, we usually gather again to slaughter the sacrificial animals. This time, the mosque near my house only slaughtered 3 goats. The men were busy slaughtering and cutting the goats while the women were busy cooking in the kitchen. There were also some women who helped cut and weigh the goat meat. Because we will distribute the meat to the people who live in our village.
While the men were busy with their activities, we ladies were also busy cooking some of the goat meat. We plan to cook goat curry. For us to eat together later. After the distribution is complete, the men are busy cleaning up the place that was used earlier or just sitting and talking together. While waiting for our cooking to finish.
After the cooking was done and served we ate together. This is how Eid al-Adha is celebrated where I live. We always work together in doing many things, helping each other and creating good harmony with one another. All the hard work becomes easy because we do it together.
