Biscuits that last for generations

So when I was visiting my friend, a locals that grewing up from Teluk Intan Malaysia told me to visit this biscuit store which is famous and is been around more than 50 years. Even my dad from other state knows this brand and keeps telling me is nice and is a must buy.

Is hidden among housing area. Where in Malay language we called it kampong aka village. First image above shown as kampong. Many of us would love this environment as growing up from such village. And here's our today's store - Sin Joo Heong aka tiger head confectionery.

Size of shop is not huge as mall. But is comfortable to shop around as is packed with a/c and fan to keep ventilation on. Item arrangement is eye catching and easy to approach as well. To overcome crowded situation pricing is also label along each other for more transparency purposes. Well done on that.

As you can see they frame up the interview from media ( newspaper) during last time. Which is something to be proud of when got interview or promoted by newspaper company.

Have a guess what is this white small little things inside the bottle.

More traditional cookies/biscuits are sold here. Mostly best for gifts and take away for friends.

Traditional lantern are on the way for mooncake festival soon. This brings back a lots of childhood memory for most locals. Where simple lighting up candle tend to have the joy and laughter for more than 3 hours. Those simple days only can be remembered and not going to happens anymore.

Well that's for today. Do you like traditional biscuit? Thank you and see you soon.

Feeling nostalgic seeing many old snack displayed in there.

We also have the same biscuits that lasted for generations. Like my Mama told us what she used to eat when she was younger.

I know right. I believes that they had more variety than us have now. But is still cool to know and it still last until these days.

I love shops like this that are small, authentic, and full of memories. Definitely a hidden gem!

Well said friend well said.

Wow a store like this still thriving after so many decades. Places like Sin Joo Heong carry not just food but also memories, culture, and traditions that connect generations. The mention of lanterns for the mooncake festival also adds a nostalgic touch, reminding us how simple joys from the past still hold special meaning today. I’d love to try these traditional biscuits someday.

Indeed. You got on point. I believes anywhere on earth does have. Do visit whenever you're in Malaysia.

Wow this biscuit must be a cultural heritage. This store take part of preserving this color.

As old school as possible

Wow! It’s amazing that Sin Joo Heong has been around for more than 50 years and still preserves its traditions. Traditional biscuits really have a way of connecting us to simpler times, bringing back fond memories of childhood and those simple joys we often forget.

Well said my friend. Indeed it is. As traditional biscuit and food is also a way to share with each other, only different is business method changes from time to time.

Exactly! But no matter how business methods evolve, the essence still remains.
