Before year 2023 ends, I found myself reflecting on the many blessings that had come my way. Gratitude filled my heart, and I was eager to share some of that joy with the people who made each day special – our valued customers at Shikika Store.
It was evening on December 30, 2023, I embarked on a simple yet heartwarming endeavor. The plan was to give away 31 different kinds of goodies from our little store, each carefully prepared with love and appreciation.
To add an element of excitement, I numbered each item and rolled a small piece of paper with numbers 1-31 written on it, creating a unique way for our customers to receive their special New Year tokens. The anticipation of what surprise awaited them added a delightful touch to the whole experience.
Early morning of December 31st, our store stood ready to welcome customers not just for their regular purchases but also for a chance to partake in the New Year giveaway. The mechanics were straightforward – every customer making a purchase was entitled to draw a number and get the item that corresponds to the number they got.
Capturing these moments with photos was my way of preserving the smiles and the shared happiness. However, I respected the privacy of those who preferred not to be photographed, understanding that joy manifests in various ways.
As the last of the tokens found their way into the hands of our dear customers, the tray and small pieces of paper with numbers were all that remained.
The store may have closed for the day, but the warmth of the shared moments lingered, creating memories that would extend beyond the changing calendar.
In moments like these, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that had become an integral part of our little store's journey. The New Year's giveaway was not just about the items exchanged; it was about fostering a sense of connection and spreading joy as we welcomed the promises of a new beginning.
As we bid farewell to 2023 and embraced the hope of a brighter future, the simple act of giving became a reminder of the beauty found in sharing and the joy that ripples through even the smallest gestures.
