Breakfast Buffet at Food Exchange Manila

in ASEAN HIVE COMMUNITY10 hours ago (edited)

Who wouldn't have a beautiful morning when you're having a buffet for breakfast? For someone who cooks her own food now, waking up to eat without cooking is such a dream!

Part of the room I booked when I stayed at Novotel last year was a breakfast buffet at Food Exchange. The hotel's breakfast buffet is something I wouldn't want to miss. I've always heard positive reviews about the home made corned beef and other selections.

It's also my motivation to wake up early. Despite with only about three hours of sleep, it was a miracle that I heard my alarm. Lol. I was confused for a second why it was still dark and even thought it was still dawn until I walked and reached for the curtain.

Seeing the sun was already out didn't make me happy. Lol!

The buffet starts at 6:30 until 10 in the morning. I still have quite plenty of time so I sprawled on the bed a few minutes more thinking if I should take a bath already or sleep again. Well, I don't want to rush later on! I dragged myself to the bathroom and took a bath instead.

I took a quick look at the end of the hallway to say hi to the coliseum and have a better view of the sky. I was worried that it might rain by the time I check out.

Going to the elevator now to go down the buffet area.

After informing the receptionist at the buffet area, I walked towards the waiting area where another staff came shortly and led me to a vacant table.

I took a quick snap on the view to my left before the staff led me to my seat. It's the grand prize for the hotel's 10th year anniversary. The electric vehicle really looks beautiful when you see it with your own eyes. I'm pretty sure the person who won the grand prize is very happy with it.

Going back, I was led to my table which I think was the same table when I stayed at the hotel two years ago.

Novotel buffet is known to have good selection of foods. They have plethora of choices from Filipino, American, French, Italian, and even Indian cuisine. Too bad, I was still quite full from my supposed dinner food which turned to a midnight snack.

One that people keep talking about when speaking of breakfast at Novotel is their home made corned beef. I'm not a food connoisseur but if I would compare it to a typical canned corned beef, Novotel's corned beef is less salty and has thicker strands. I love the big slices of onions as well!

I thought I would be able to try other foods so I started with only few on my plate. Fried rice, corned beef, chicken sausage, mixed vegetables, bacon, and pain au chocolat.

There are plenty of pastry choices but pain au chocolat got my interest because I've heard it several times on Chef Rv's vlogs. Lol. I like how he says it, pan o shokulah. It's my first time eating one and I liked it, especially the texture of the pastry. The chocolate filling is also delicious.

After finishing my plate, I felt I was starting to get full so I just went straight for the dessert. I really dig their DIY taho. One reason why I love Novotel breakfast is that I can make my own taho. Lol. Then I paired it with some orange juice. I think I should've paired the juice with my first plate. Oh well, when there's too much choices you get confused what to pick!

I was a bit disappointed that I only took few photos this time. I wasn't even able to capture the buffet area decently. But I'll describe it as fancy and heavenly for a foodie.

Of course, I didn't miss their gelato corner! They have four flavors available and you get to scoop your own gelato.

I had chocolate and matcha gelato for my final dessert. Yum! Wish I could eat more but I was already full. And even though it looks like I only consumed few, guess what? I spent an hour eating!

I headed back to my room and rested before I began packing my bag. I looked at the window and got relieved when I saw that the sun has finally shown.

Maybe next time, I should only have light dinner. If there would still be a next time, I will make sure to eat more and try their other selections.

Have you tried Novotel's breakfast buffet? What other foods do you think is a must try?

The food is so delicious and having time with yourself is a reflection and motivation. I amazed that you wake up early.
