Tonight’s dinner at Giligan’s Restaurant was a satisfying mix of comfort food and rich Filipino flavors. Although I forgot to take photos (yes, it was that tempting!), the dishes definitely left a memorable impression.
We started off with the Sausy Chicken—tender pieces of chicken coated in a sweet-savory sauce that had a hint of spice. It was flavorful, juicy, and perfect with steamed rice.
Next came the Crispy Pork Sisig, served sizzling hot. It had that perfect crunch on the edges with a mix of creamy and savory goodness from the mayonnaise and calamansi. Despite forgetting to snap a photo, it’s safe to say it was one of the highlights of the meal.
We also had Grilled Pork, which came with a side of spring onions that added a fresh kick to the smoky meat. The pork was well-cooked, juicy inside with those slightly charred grill marks on the outside—just how it should be.
To round off the meal, we enjoyed a comforting bowl of Bulalo Soup. The broth was light but rich in beef flavor, with a generous portion of meat and vegetables. It balanced the meal perfectly and made the dinner feel even more homey.
Even without the pictures, the flavors spoke for themselves. Giligan’s didn’t disappoint—it's a place I’d definitely come back to when I crave hearty Filipino food.
