However, now, I enjoy eating bread. Although not every day, whenever I get the chance to eat bread, I’m happy. Or if I’m travelling, it’s often bread that saves me during those crucial moments. Especially when visiting a place where the staple food isn’t rice, as it is in my region—for instance, when I went to Turkey, I ate bread more often, even though rice dishes were still available there.
Not long ago, while I was waiting for a friend at the shopping centre, I was wandering around to see what was worth buying, and I spotted a bakery stall running a grand opening promotion. The stall wasn’t very big, but the bread looked absolutely delicious and tempting. As I went in and had a look around, the bakery assistant told me that all the bread varieties were priced at 25,000 IDR for 3 pieces.
Wow… that’s incredibly cheap in my opinion for bread in a shopping centre, and they all looked so tasty. I was actually spoilt for choice. There were several sweet and savoury varieties. The sweet ones included chocolate or coffee, whilst the savoury ones featured sausages, abon, smoked meat, and cheese. As I’m a cheese lover, I picked a long one filled with a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan. I really liked the look of it. For the other two, I chose the Kohimiruku Cheese Pan, which is a cheese bread filled with creamy cream cheese, topped with aromatic coffee. I could already imagine the aroma of coffee on the top.
After paying, I looked for a seat to enjoy my cheese bread. Luckily, there was a spot available. I sat facing the passing crowd, whilst enjoying that delicious cheese bread. The bread was soft and the cheese tasted delicious and fragrant. Ah, this is exactly my type. I felt so lucky to have found that bakery.
