In the morning, when I was at home, my sister and I cycled to the Kaliwadas dam. It wasn't far, only about 14 kilometres. My sister isn't the type who likes morning exercise, so I had to drag her out of her cosy bed and force her to come cycling with me. Ha ha

After getting tired from cycling, we stopped by to buy some fruit and had some chicken porridge for breakfast. We randomly stopped at a street vendor selling chicken porridge, and it was delicious!

Wait, actually, our standard for “delicious” isn’t that high—as long as the seasoning is just right and not overpowering. Like this chicken porridge. I liked the texture of the porridge and the yellow broth. It was a pleasant random discovery.

Additionally, there’s also soy milk here. You know, this drink is very tasty and comforting when enjoyed warm. So, each of us had a bowl of porridge accompanied by a glass of soy milk. Our energy was replenished. We ate comfortably and slowly, savoring the precious morning and our equally precious health. Here, there’s also a variety of menu items, including chicken liver and gizzard, as well as chicken intestine and boiled egg. Complete! Delicious, comfortable, and complete!

While we enjoyed the chicken porridge, we also watched people coming to buy porridge. Some ate it on the spot, while others took it home. There were also schoolchildren buying it for breakfast before tackling their school lessons.

Simple things like these make me feel grateful for having a close-knit family, good health, and financial blessings that allow us to buy what we want and need.
As I grow older, I increasingly realise that the most comfortable place to return to is still family. There, they don’t judge our flaws and tend to support whatever dreams I’m pursuing. For example, when I started running regularly or began creating educational content, their prayers and support were the first to strengthen me.
By the way, that’s how my morning went while cycling with my older sister. It was enjoyable, and I want to do this more often. Thank you for reading my post. See you in the next one. Bye!

A fun and refreshing morning, even if she needed a little convincing to get up. The combo of warm porridge and soy milk is so comforting.
