Are you guys familiar with the NLC or National Learning Camp.

“We are dedicated to creating opportunities for all students to thrive. Our summer programs are designed to provide the necessary support and resources to help learners overcome challenges and achieve their full potential,” Education Secretary Sonny Angara said.

The 2025 National Learning Camp is a four-week program for Grade 1 to 10 students. It will be held in the chosen schools and aims to help improve student learning and support teachers. This program continues what was started in the previous National Learning Camp.

My two sons are called to join the said program. Sasuke incoming grade 10 and JJ incoming grade Grade 5. But I don't know what happened to my son's NLC as they were not called to proceed to the program.

But my son JJ was able to learn within a couple of weeks. With a small number of students their teacher surely can focus on teaching them one by one. Their snack was often sponsored by the school. I remember when I agreed on the NLC of Sasuke's, my co-parents are worried about the extra expenses. Like transportation fees and food, but the teachers said that they will do their best to find a sponsor. Until they didn't give us any updates.

What is important is my son Jj learned a lot this vacation. He has the same teacher and classmates, so it's like they're all good days.

While I tried cooking a recipe that I'd learned a long time ago. Chicken Afritada but when I tried looking it in online I was upset that I couldn't find the same recipe. But I didn't hesitate to try it again and I couldn't believe that I was able to improve my skills.

Ingredient

1/2 kilo of chicken
1 medium potato
1 medium carrots
1 red bell pepper
1 medium onion
6 cloves of garlic
1/2 cup of Tomato Sauce
Pepper, seasoning, fish sauce, iodized salt, cooking oil
1/4 of of water

Procedure

I salted the chicken with a little iodized salt and slightly fried it. The size was small because my husband cut the chicken. I used thigh part. Set aside, cut and wash the ingredients needed. I also slightly fry the potato and carrots.

On a pan, I used the same cooking oil, I just reduce the amount so the dish won't be oily. Add the onion, garlic saute and add the chicken. Add 1 tablespoon mixed well, cover for about a minute and two. Mix again and lower the heat, add the tomato sauce, seasoning, red bell pepper and ground pepper. Cover and let it simmer with the same low heat. Taste and adjust according to taste.

I couldn't believe that my husband and kids was impressed by the dish I made.

Yes it was, thank you for reading my post

Wow! That's a nice program initiated by our teachers to help cater student's needs. I hope they will continue this so that more students who need further assistance can participate. It will be a big help for them.

I like that you ended the post with your favorite food. Learning is always fun when it ends with food. Food and learning always go together. (laughing emoji)

Up to now they still have an NLC, their teacher didn't have vacation. I know their hardwork will all paid off

Congratulations National Training Camp! All the students have strengthened their knowledge and life skills. Thank you for sharing ! Have a good job !

Nothing beats enjoying a good meal after a productive learning session! @usagigallardo015 I enjoy seeing your post. I am a newbie and still exploring. Also a Bulakenyo and already posted my introductory. Can't wait to see more from you. Thanks for sharing! 😍

Thank you for your wonderful words kabayan @simplyfaith Welcome on hive and hope you'll enjoy your stay here

The National Learning Camp is a good way to help students spend their vacation in a productive way while enjoying. I'm glad seeing the kids having fun while learning, I strongly believe that learning musn't be forced so that it could be effective, they must enjoy the process and learning comes.

My niece was one of the beneficiaries of NLC in our place and I'm glad she can read now. She was actually struggling to read when she finished Grade 2 and this coming school year, she will be in grade 3 and can read better than before. Thanks to the dedicated teachers! Kudos!

Is she already trying to read English my dear @shine6712? The teachers really did a great job. Their sacrifices are all worth it. Thank you for dropping by into my post.

Yes she is. Thanks to the teachers' dedication in helping students so no one will be left behind.

Native learning Camp is the best for the children. This can nurture their growth as they learn new. One more thing is that, it can boast their confidence getting along with other children.

Also, there is food so, they are more energetic to learn. I remembered when I was a kid when there was feeding program, I really like to go to school because of this. 😍

It was an amazing kind of vacation my dear friend @femelyn.blog reminding of the feeding program. I think it was a long time since that program was held again in our school.

What a meaningful day to end the month. Program like this truly makes a difference and inspiring. Nothing bets the happiness of your family loving something you cooked with heart.

Thank you for dropping by into my post @dreamrona and cooking something way back in the past really inspires me to cooked for them more
