2 Neighborhoods 1 Theme: Street Photography - Monomad Challenge.

San Nicolás.

Street photography is so great that we can get different results depending on the place where we are, it covers many aspects and when it comes to portraying people, traseuntes walking from one side to another we can have attractive scenarios, hectic, quiet and each situation can express something very punctual.

The obelisk area of Buenos Aires is well known by many residents, natives and tourists but not many know which neighborhood it belongs to, it is in the neighborhood of San Nicolas and covers many other areas, but this is the most used by photographers to make street photography.

Large avenues and many people circulate along the current avenue, there are many buildings, commercial and gastronomic premises that serve as support to have beautiful backgrounds. Decisive moments of people taking action without knowing they are captured by a "crazy" person behind a camera :)

Seeing some delivery people in this area is more than normal and common since there are too many places where they sell food.

I intend to make a comparison between one neighborhood and another as well as the difference between some shots with the 85mm lens, the ones I took here in the San Nicolás neighborhood and others with the 50mm lens for the next neighborhood.

Here we have a girl walking on the Plaza de la República, many buildings in the background, people and cars. Obviously it is a very hectic area, although depending on the time and a little patience we can get a simpler, minimalist shot like the following one.

Just a person looking at their phone in front of McDonald's.

PUNY... One of the many restaurants in the area, this one specializes in pasta and grill.

Caballito.

Now I show you a little walk in the neighborhood of Caballito but not in the popular area, this time I was walking through an area that is called or called the English neighborhood, it is because many years ago they built houses of this style and still remain well preserved, are narrow cobbled streets and it is really very quiet, quite alone.

It is more of a residential area, less shops but it is also an expensive area to live.

This is one of the streets where I walked, I took this photo of the signs.

Depending on the area where I took the photos, I know what type of editing I want in addition. An example of this is the photos of the San Nicolás neighborhood, without thinking I wanted darker backgrounds to highlight the people portrayed more, capable of the environment, I'm not sure.

But for these I wanted to add very little editing and make the photos clearer because it expresses something else to me. I took the photos in this neighborhood with the 50mm lens.

This is one of the cobblestone streets I mentioned earlier and I love this division between light and shadows right at this corner.

Here is a sample of the homes that were built in this part of the neighborhood.

A simple motorcycle parked on one of the streets, you can see many trees in the background and almost no one behind, when I say that it is a very quiet neighborhood I mean it.

That's why this is one of the reasons why I mention that the street photography here is totally different from the first neighborhood and this photo of this street is one of my favorites from this set.

The only personal detail is that I would have liked to capture that person in the middle of the street while crossing it.

So... What do you think about these street photos? Do you have any favorites? Let me know in the comments :)

Grateful for this @monochromes It's an honor 🖤📸

San Nicolás seems like such a beautiful place for street photography. There's a San Nicolás church in the city where I live and it's a very impressive place. The part about the "crazy" person behind the camera was really fun :) All the photos are very impressive. I especially loved the first one. I think I felt connected to it because I saw a cyclist. Great job.
