Architecture, Reflections and People.
I have been selecting with great precision this series of photos that combine many aspects, Here we can appreciate the urban planning of this area of the city of Buenos Aires in the San Nicolás neighborhood from the Plaza de Mayo. We have classic and historic architecture, emblematic buildings and puddles of water used as support material to create reflections.
Other aspects that are relevant to me, such as perspectives, angles and, in a certain way, textures.
At that time I only had the 85mm lens with me so in order to take the first three shots I had to use my phone in wide angle mode, This was because the location of the puddles was not appropriate if I used the lens, I had a lot of close-up, so I decided to opt for the phone to be able to include all the elements, buildings and a low angle in the compositions.
Let's see what this is all about...

I had been undecided about what the cover photo would be, I finally decided on this one. I really like the perspective and the giant building of the metropolitan cathedral. It is interesting how you can see the lines of the floor, the texture of the tiles, the large columns of the building and those small people walking around it.
The tip of the tower seen in the background belongs to the Argentine-Uruguayan bank building.

Three big ones in this photo. The white building is the Buenos Aires town hall while next to its tower you can see the tower of the Buenos Aires legislature and on the left side the building of the magistracy council, formerly the Siemens building.
I managed to include that person who was walking in the area.

Here we have a less clear reflection but we also have the big 5 of the North diagonal. We can mention from left to right, the municipal palace, the South America building, attached to it, the Equitativa del Plata building, later one of the Bencich buildings and on the right side the metropolitan cathedral.

From here we start with the Nikon and the 85mm lens, a more detailed photo of the last three buildings that I mentioned above.

The buildings are good, reflections are good, the photos from afar too but now let's go with the people who were walking through this place. There are more details, traffic, emotions and expressions. Another way to see the daily life of this area.

These two people are walking in front of the municipal palace, I love the dry leaves on the ground, the old light bulbs, the balconies of the building and the steps of the people.

In this series there are 4 photos of people and if I had to choose a favorite it would be this one. I like photos where there are people having an action more than just walking. This is an area with many public institutions and I must assume that this man is an employee of one of them. He is on his phone and his gesture expresses something interesting that could be happening.
In the background a sign that says "No to layoffs"

On the other side of the street a young man enjoys a cigarette while walking on the wet asphalt left by the rain and a lady walks among the giants of Plaza de Mayo.
A series of street photographs that I have undoubtedly loved and the fact that they are in black and white is even more captivating for me. I would like to know what you think about all this.
