I think we somehow even implicitly know that.
Our bodies do.
I could tell that even by the fact that every time I visit a city by the water, I usually spent at least the half of the time by the boardwalk or just at the beach. I don't care about any sand in my shoes, I'd say I adore having sand in my shoes. Or just breathe in the wet air given there isn't any sand around. 'Cause water is what matters in that scenario.
