It doesn't seem like this new mode is going down well with players. I've already read several articles saying it's not worth the effort. Maybe it's a bit early to tell.

I think more game modes = more fun
The new format is a good addition but I will always prefer the Modern Format because there are no bots...
I will use in Survival mode the cards I can't rent and the cards I don't use in Modern Format and for me it will be one more chance to play, have fun and earn some more SPS ;)
It is definitely not an ideal format for those with few cards but it adds new use cases to the cards
