RE: Why do people have junk food addictions?

in Olio di Balena8 hours ago

One thing I have noticed about junk food is that it never feels satisfying.

To them, it’s like if they don’t eat junk foods in a day, they feel they haven’t eaten any food even after eating the right food. They have become so addictive that it becomes harder for them to restrain themselves from eating junks.

Most of us, as we were growing, we were never taught how junks could be damaging to our health as anything goes into the mouth. I actually stopped taking these soft drinks long time ago and had to settle for maltina, but that itself has lots of sugar which I then settled for nutri milk but most times, I always prefer fruits and it has helped to reduce my sugar intake.

Junks doesn’t satisfy one no matter how much you took it except you’d go for the real meal that nourishes the body. But for some, no matter the leisure and education, they still won’t stop eating junks.

Meltina actually has the highest sugar of every soda, although it seems really surprising but it's actually true. It has more sugar content than coke or Fanta. I use to take a lot of it in the past, thinking it was better than coke or Fanta, but it turned out it has more sugar than the rest.
Well, in this modern day Nigeria, it seems inevitable to avoid sugary drinks, but taking them moderately or minimally is the best.

Just my thought, too and what made me go for it not knowing it contains high sugar in it. It is well. Because we cannot actually avoid taking sugary stuff but as you said, moderate is the key.
