Another Saturday, another evening at the Board Room in the western suburbs of Hiroshima...
This time, Man of Kent gent, David L hosted a Kickstarter funded game called Civitas 2230 on one table, while a game of Heroquest was going on on the other table.
Civitas 2230 is a cyberpunk city-building game created by a bloke called James Bradley. As David L was one of the original investors, David L got himself featured in the game, as one of the character cards.
Each of the four cities has different characteristics.
My city was Nihilium, which controls the power sources, but is in decline. It starts with a large population, but the high-powered characters are disillusioned and bailing out...
It was the first time that any of us, including our game host, David L, had played the tabletop version of the game, so we were all learning as we went. It was great fun, and I hope we can play it again soon, building on our experience of this first trial-and-error attempt to learn the game.
Civitas 2230 was a Kickstarter project and as far as I know there are only 50 games in existence.
