Mi fruta favorita es la fresa así que casi siempre estoy comiendo o bebiendo cosas que contengan esta fruta pero tiene que ser natural debido a que el sabor artificial de fresa, lo aborrezco.
Hace unos días fui al Centro Comercial Recreo buscando algo para merendar, mi intención era comer unos Brownies de una famosísima franquicia llamada Chip a Cookies pero desde hace varios meses he visto que ya no están vendiendo los brownies convencionales sino unos en miniatura o solamente galletas, cosa que me pone triste debido a que esos brownies eran unos de mis favoritos.
My favourite fruit is strawberry so I'm almost always eating or drinking things that contain this fruit but it has to be natural because I hate the artificial strawberry flavour.
A few days ago I went to the Recreo Mall looking for something to have a snack, my intention was to eat some Brownies from a very famous franchise called Chip a Cookies but for several months now I have seen that they are no longer selling the conventional brownies but miniature ones or just biscuits, which makes me sad because those brownies were one of my favourites.
Como ya no sabía qué podíamos comer, nos pusimos a caminar por el centro comercial echando un vistazo a todas las tiendas de comida que habían hasta que vi a dos chicas con dos pares de fresas con crema en la mano e inmediatamente se llevaron toda mi atención; no soy mucho de preguntar o hablar con desconocidos en la calle, realmente me da mucha pena así que David preguntó dónde las habían comprado porque si es por mí, nunca me entero.
Lo gracioso es que la tienda ya la conocía, de hecho era dónde iba todas las tardes a comprarme algo de merendar cuando trabajaba en dicho centro comercial pero ahora no solo venden chuchería y helados, sino que agregaron un apartado de dulces con fresa y obviamente me emocioné.
As I didn't know what we could eat, we started walking around the shopping centre looking at all the food shops until I saw two girls with two pairs of strawberries and cream in their hands and they immediately got all my attention; I'm not much for asking or talking to strangers in the street, I really feel embarrassed so David asked where they had bought them because if it's for me, I never find out.
The funny thing is that I already knew the shop, in fact it was where I used to go every afternoon to buy a snack when I worked in that shopping centre but now they not only sell sweets and ice cream, but they added a section of strawberry sweets and obviously I got excited.
Ofrecen dos tipos de combos, dos mini fresas con crema por 5$ y el otro es una fresa con crema grande más un pincho de fresa bañado en chocolate por 6$; pensé en comprar las dos mini fresas con crema pero realmente vimos mejor el segundo combo y no me arrepiento de nada.
No solo venden fresas con crema sino que también ofrecen helados, banana split, batidos y merengadas que, para ser totalmente honesta, se ven demasiado apetitosos; creo que pasaré mucho tiempo yendo a ese local de verdad.
They offer two types of combos, two mini strawberries and cream for 5$ and the other is a large strawberry and cream plus a chocolate dipped strawberry skewer for 6$; I thought about buying the two mini strawberries and cream but we really looked at the second combo and I don't regret it at all.
Not only do they sell strawberries and cream but they also offer ice cream, banana splits, milkshakes and meringues which, to be perfectly honest, look too appetizing; I think I'll spend a lot of time going there for real.
Las fresas y la crema estaban frescas, no estaba muy dulce evitando empalagarse muy rápido, casi siempre que se hace un postre con fresa sale alguna que otra fruta un poco pasada de maduración pero en este caso no fue así; realmente me disfruté cada bocado de esa fresa con crema, es la mejor que me comido hasta ahora.
El pincho no estaba tan divino, debo admitir, pero tampoco puedo comprar un pincho de tres fresas bañadas en chocolate y crema a un vaso grande de fresas con crema; sin embargo me lo disfruté muchísimo, el servicio fue excelente y considero que los precios están más que bien, si quieren saber más de este lugar, pueden conseguirlos en Instagram como @lafresacaracas.
The strawberries and the cream were fresh, it wasn't too sweet and didn't get too sweet too quickly, almost every time you make a dessert with strawberries you get some overripe fruit but in this case it wasn't like that; I really enjoyed every bite of that strawberry and cream, it was the best I've had so far.
The skewer wasn't that divine, I must admit, but I can't buy a skewer of three strawberries dipped in chocolate and cream over a big glass of strawberries and cream; however I really enjoyed it, the service was excellent and I think the prices are more than okay, if you want to know more about this place, you can get them on Instagram as @lafresacaracas.
Creo que encontré un nuevo lugar dónde ser feliz, así como lo es Space Burger con la comida, este es para mi postre favorito y eso me hace muy feliz aunque a mi bolsillo no tanto.

I think I found a new place to be happy, just like Space Burger is with food, this is for my favourite dessert and that makes me very happy although my pocket is not so happy.
