Aun no me he organizado lo suficiente como para dedicarme a escribir un poco para mi blog sobre mi actual trabajo pero mientras lo hago hoy les quiero dejar un adelanto, hablándoles breve brevemente sobre lo que hago y mostrándoles algunas fotos.
I haven't yet organized myself enough to dedicate myself to writing a little for my blog about my current work, but while I do so today I want to give you a preview, telling you briefly about what I do and showing you some photos.
Actualmente estoy trabajando como repostera en una panadería, algo que jamás imaginé que haría en mi vida, pues, apenas sabía hacer alguno que otro postre y no tenía ningún tipo de experiencia pero tuve la suerte de que aún así me dieron la oportunidad y pude aprender muchísimas cosas y a hacer muchos de los postres de aquí.
I am currently working as a pastry chef in a bakery, something I never imagined I would do in my life, since I barely knew how to make a few desserts and I had no experience whatsoever, but I was lucky that they still gave me the opportunity and I was able to learn a lot of things and make many of the desserts here.
En mi primera semana trabajando obviamente no había aprendido todo y me costaba identificar cada postre y dulce además de recordar cada nombre y todo lo que llevaban, era mucha información para aprender de un momento a otro, así que lo que hice para aprender los nombres fue ir a las vitrinas al salir del trabajo y tomarle fotos al área de los postres, con las fotos mi amiga me indicó los nombres de cada cosa y allí comencé a memorizar cada uno de ellos además de tener una referencia de como deben quedar.
In my first week working I obviously hadn't learned everything and I had a hard time identifying each dessert and sweet as well as remembering each name and everything they had, it was a lot of information to learn from one moment to the next, so what I did to learn the names was go to the display cases when I left work and take photos of the dessert area, with the photos my friend showed me the names of each thing and there I began to memorize each one of them as well as having a reference of how they should look.
Al día de hoy ya han pasado unos 4 meses desde que tomé estas fotos y en ese momento no sabía hacer prácticamente nada de lo que les muestro, apenas unas 3 o 4 cositas, y hoy viendo las fotos me doy cuenta de que esos postres que yo veía tan difíciles de hacer y aprender ya los se hacer hasta con los ojos cerrados y eso me hace muy feliz, porque es algo que disfruto mucho hacer aunque al final del día termine muy cansada y toda sucia de chocolate 😅.
As of today, it's been about 4 months since I took these photos and at that time I didn't know how to do practically anything of what I'm showing you, just about 3 or 4 things, and today looking at the photos I realize that those desserts that I thought were so difficult to make and learn, I now know how to make them even with my eyes closed and that makes me very happy, because it's something that I really enjoy doing even if at the end of the day I end up very tired and all covered in chocolate 😅.
