🍩 Sweet, sweet donut

En la ciudad existe una amplia propuesta gastronómica que puede llegar a impresionarte y que, en ocasiones, puede crearte una gran indecisión al momento de intentar elegir qué y en dónde comer, pero a veces (sólo a veces) la propuesta más básica es la que triunfa...aunque no siempre sea esa la mejor elección y te terminas decepcionando y cuestionando porqué elegiste algo tan básico que ni siquiera resultó ser decente, si tenías a disposición un montón de posibles buenas ideas.

Esta vez el antojo a mitad de tarde fueron unas clásicas donas que, a mí criterio foodie_ realmente no tenían una característica que las hiciera sobresalir. No es que no me agraden pero siempre me pregunto lo mismo: ¿por qué deben ser tan dulces si lo mejor de la comida es el perfecto balance de los sabores? Al menos la merienda estuvo lo suficientemente aesthetic para permitir unas buenas tomas de Momento Foodie. Creo que mi relación amor-odio por las donas seguirá existiendo por muchos años más. Sí me preguntas, este podría encontrarse en el puesto #3 de mi Top 5 de postres que no me gustan.

In the city there is a wide gastronomic proposal that can impress you and that, sometimes, can create a great indecision when trying to choose what and where to eat, but sometimes (only sometimes) the most basic proposal is the one that triumphs...although it is not always the best choice and you end up being disappointed and questioning why you chose something so basic that was not even decent, if you had a lot of possible good ideas at your disposal.

This time the mid-afternoon craving was for some classic doughnuts that, to my foodie_ criteria, didn't really have a feature that made them stand out. It's not that I don't like them but I always ask myself the same question: why should they be so sweet if the best thing about food is the perfect balance of flavors? At least the snack was aesthetic enough to allow for some good Foodie Moment shots. I think my love-hate relationship for donuts will continue to exist for many years to come. If you ask me, this one might find itself in the #3 spot in my Top 5 desserts I don't like.
