Making smoothies is one thing I love to do and it is a way to consume fruits completely to absorb all the nutrients, that way, nothing is left out.
My family and friends always enjoy the smoothies I make and at times friends call me to book some bottles of smoothies.
Last year, in December, I got a call, it was an order for some bottles of smoothie needed for an office party, a particular department in the company, everything was concluded about the order to be delivered in 3 days time. So I made arrangement for a delivery service (a particular company that handles it for me).
The Making of the Smoothie.
This is a three-ingredient smoothie and it is easy to make. You can make it for your family and friends.
Ingredients
● Sweet watermelon.
● Sweet pineapple.
● Beetroots.
Preparation
- I washed the watermelon, pineapple and beetroot.
- The beetroot was peeled, cut, and slightly boiled with very little water for about 2 mins.
- Then I cut the watermelon, removed the seeds and cut them smaller. The pineapple was also cut in small sizes.
- The beetroot was okay and I poured into the watermelon and pineapple that was cut.
- I blended all gradually until I was done and mixed them in order to have the same taste.
- The new bottles were washed before I became the process. The covers have seal and can only be broken on consumption.
- I bottled them and put in the freezer, then had a taste of it (sweet and delicious).
Time For Delivery
The delivery man was supposed to come for pickup by before 12pm, I kept communicating with the customer service rep. on WhatsApp, at a time I suspected something went wrong because I called and there was no response. It was already 1 pm and I had to contact other delivery companies but they were all busy.
I didn't plan to go out that day, but the delivery had to be done. Meanwhile, it was to get to the location before 5 pm. I dressed up, wore my cap and hit the road, it was a very sunny day. On my way I prayed not to meet traffic because Lagos Nigeria traffic can be frustrating. Thanks to God it was a smooth journey.
On approaching the estate of the company, I saw the craft of the Christmas Manger on the gate of the estate and couldn't help but take a shot. I got the code to enter the estate and got the package delivered.
Whew! I was so glad I made it on time. I headed back home and I received a good remark.
The beetroot popped out the colour of the smoothie and added a special flavour to it.
