When I was a kid, I liked fried chicken, especially chicken joy at Jollibee. Every time my parents have some spare money from their work in the rice fields, they treat us there. But, even though it's not from Jollibee and my mom cooked it at home when we couldn't afford to buy one there, I still eat it, and I can tell that it's much tastier than the Chicken Joy at Jollibee.
Now that I'm 22 years old, we just bought some fried chicken from the vendors who are selling fast food and street foods. I compared it to Jollibee Chickenjoy and wondered why people prefer buying fast food in restaurants that is so expensive if they can just buy some from the small vendors who sell this kind of food cheaply but more deliciously than the foods in the restaurants.
Then, I remembered that some people called rich people choosy when they didn't want to eat some food that some food vendors were selling. And now, as I grow older, I don't think they are choosy. They just prioritize their health, and as with some of the vendors who sell outside, we aren't sure if their foods are really safe and clean. I watched some documentaries before about some fast foods that they sell in the market that are made with things that we couldn't expect.
When I go outside, I can't also imagine how the food is still safe, even though we saw how the vendors make it using their bare hands, and sometimes their surroundings are not clean. So we really can't blame other people if they prefer buying them at fast food restaurants. Even though they're expensive, at least the food is safe and clean.
This is just a random thought I had when I saw a fried chicken that my older sister's boyfriend bought for our lunch. I am not a choosy person. He bought this for Php 25.00 per PC (25x5 =125). Compare it to Jollibee Chicken Joy bucket Php 461.00 (6 pcs) but their chicken now is not as big as before. Lol, so far, this chicken joy is safe, and I'm still alive even though he bought these at the vendor outside. Lol
