I think the diet I started three weeks ago is working well for me. My belly seems thinner and less bloated compared to when I first began. I also reduced the amount of fresh bananas I ate this past week, and I’ve noticed that I’m craving sweets less than I did before. I say that because I had milk tea on Saturday, and it didn’t taste as satisfying as I expected. Normally, I would have another cup the next day, but I didn’t—and I consider that real progress.

I read that sugar cravings are another form of unhealthy vice that one should try to eliminate to achieve a healthier body. Cutting back on sugar can significantly improve one’s health, or so they say. I do regret only starting to take this seriously now. I should have done it when I was younger—but there’s no use dwelling on regrets, right?
There’s always time to change our bad habits, especially when it comes to physical health. They say you can improve your health in less than a decade if you stay consistent. Since diabetes runs in my family, I want to make sure I’m managing my blood sugar by cutting down on sweet foods and drinks. That also includes foods that indirectly raise blood sugar, like rice and other carbs.
I enjoy rice and noodles, but I’m trying to limit how much of them I eat. If you've been following my food blog, you’ll know I love handmade noodles, fried rice, and sweet treats. Now, I’m exploring ways to control my intake—even if I can't completely give them up. I believe it's doable because I’m in control of my cravings, and that’s my goal for the next decade.
To plan every meal carefully and maintain a healthy balance. I know I probably can’t give up carbs entirely because I rely on them for energy, but I can stick to the right portions—basically, no excess. What I really want to cut down on are sugary drinks like soda, sweet teas, and especially milk tea. I truly hope I can stay focused and make this goal a reality.
Staying committed to a healthier lifestyle is never easy, but every small step counts. I may not get everything perfect right away, but what matters is that I’m making progress and staying mindful of my choices. Here's to a more balanced, healthier future—one meal at a time.
